SAPNA History
A Short History of SAPNA
The South Australian Perioperative Nurses Association (SAPNA) is an organisation which has been established for just over 51 years.
Initially the organisation was established as a special interest group affiliated with the Australian Nurses Federation (ANF), but more recently has become a Incorporated Association pursuing educational and professional development of perioperative nurses for the ultimate benefit of all patients and their surgical experience.
SAPNA is a member of the Australian College of Perioperative Nurses (ACORN), a national body formed by all state perioperative nursing groups.
